Attracting people from far and wide who embark on a spiritual journey that takes them through some of the most historical and revered sites considered by Hindus and Buddhists alike. Visit Varanasi and Bodhgaya that entwine architecture and religion, bringing to the forefront the life and teachings of Lord Buddha. Follow the path of enlightenment as you traverse territories made famous centuries ago through Patna and Lucknow.


Day 1 - Delhi
Arrive in Delhi, transfer to the hotel, Relax in the afternoon and Overnight Stay at the hotel.


Day 2 - Delhi
After breakfast, take a full day sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit the Red Fort comprising exquisite palaces reflecting Mughal architecture and the largest mosque in India, the Juma Masjid. Walk through the colorful and bustling Chandni Chowk bazaars. Visit Raj Ghat, a memorial for Mahatma Gandhi, Humayun's Tomb, one of the city’s finest historic sites as well as the Qutub Minar, a soaring tower of victory dating back to 1199. Drive past Rashtrapati Bhavan - the residence of the President of India, Rajpath and India Gate, among other landmarks. Overnight Stay at the hotel.


Day 3 - Delhi – Agra by train
Early in the morning, transfer to the railway station for a train to Agra. On arrival in Agra, check into the hotel. Take a sightseeing tour and visit the imperial ‘ghost city’ of Fatehpur Sikri constructed of sandstone and built by Emperor Akbar. Within it, lies the tomb of the great Sufi saint Salim Chisti. It houses the Panch Mahal and the Buland Darwaza, two of the many excellent representations of Mughal architecture. At sunset, visit the Taj Mahal built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a shrine for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is considered to be the ultimate symbol of love with its majestic marble domes and elegant minarets. Overnight Stay at the hotel.


Day 4 - Agra – Varanasi by air
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for a flight to Varanasi. On arrival in Varanasi, check into the hotel. In the afternoon, take a sightseeing tour and visit Sarnath, believed by Buddhists to be where Lord Buddha preached his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Also visit the towering Damekh Stupa, the Ashoka Pillar, the ruins of an ancient temple, the Museum and monasteries in the area. Overnight Stay at the hotel.


Day 5 - Varanasi
Early in the morning, enjoy a boat ride on the River Ganges and watch a spectacle of devout pilgrims and holy men along with curious onlookers at the banks. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Overnight Stay at the hotel.


Day 6 - Varanasi – Bodhgaya by road
After breakfast, drive to Bodhgaya. On arrival in Bodhgaya, check into the hotel. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Overnight Stay at the hotel.


Day 7 - Bodhgaya
After breakfast, take a sightseeing tour and visit the Bodhi Tree, a descendant of the original tree under which Buddha attained enlightenment. Near the tree lies a sandstone slab, marking the exact spot where he meditated. Also visit the Mahabodhi Temple, crowned by a 165 ft pyramidal spiral and housing a large ornate Buddha statue. Also take a tour of the Archaeological Museum to see ancient Hindu and Buddhist statues. Overnight Stay at the hotel.


Day 8 - Bodhgaya – Patna by road
After breakfast, drive to Patna. En route stop at Rajgir and Nalanda, two ancient Buddhist sites. The former is famous for its hot springs besides being the location where the first Buddhist Council was held. Nalanda has one of the world’s oldest Buddhist universities from the 5th century BC. Also visit the remains of the great Stupa and the Archaeological Museum. On arrival in Patna, check into the hotel for overnight stay.


Day 9 - Patna – Kushinagar by road
After breakfast, drive to Kushinagar. En route stop at Vaishali, which marks the spot where Buddha gave his last sermon. On arrival in Kushinagar, check into the hotel. Take a sightseeing tour and visit Buddha’s cremation site that contains his remains in a brick Stupa and the Mahaparinnirvana Temple with its reclining Buddha statue. Overnight Stay at the hotel.


Day 10 - Kushinagar – Lumbini by road
After breakfast, drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. On arrival in Lumbini, check into the hotel. Take a sightseeing tour and visit the Maya Devi Temple constructed at the site of many ancient temples. Spend some time at the sacred bathing pool Puskarni and visit the beautiful shrines built by devotees from various countries here. Overnight Stay at the hotel.


Day 11 - Lumbini – Balrampur by road
After breakfast, drive to Balrampur. On arrival in Balrampur, check into the hotel. Take a sightseeing tour and visit Sharavasti where Buddha preached for 24 years and is said to have performed the miracle of sitting on a 1000-petaled lotus. Overnight Stay at the hotel.


Day 12 - Balrampur – Lucknow by road
After breakfast, drive to Lucknow. On arrival in Lucknow, check into the hotel. Take a sightseeing tour and visit the 19th century Juma Masjid, the Bara Imambara built in 1784 by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula and the golden-domed Chota Imambara with its elaborate calligraphy, beautiful chandeliers and the Nawab's silver throne. See the Residency, a famous red brick building that was the home of the British Resident and the scene of fierce fighting during the Siege of Lucknow. Also visit the Rumi Gate, Picture Gallery and Clock Tower. Overnight Stay at the hotel.


Day 13 - Lucknow – Delhi by train
After breakfast, transfer to the railway station for a train to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, check into the hotel. Enjoy rest of the day at leisure. Overnight Stay at the hotel.


Day 13 - Depart Delhi
Transfer to the airport for onward travel.
